New study seeks to understand how much your cat enjoys feeding

We are looking for cat owners who will let us observe their cat(s).

In return we will offer your cat a free two month supply of a premium dry food and you a £5 Amazon voucher.

We all like to see our cats enjoy their meals, now researchers at the University of Lincoln want to understand better what makes a cat happy. So, whether you have a picky eater or a greedy feeder, we would like your help with a new study. Feeding represents an important time for interaction between owners and their cats, and some individuals are more demanding or affectionate in anticipation of their food than others. We want to see what the cat wants, and how he responds to what he gets.

We are therefore looking for cat owners who will let us observe their cat(s) shortly after its meal at a convenient time for you, two days a week, for 30min, over a three week period. We will also need to present your cat with a small amount of different types of food after its meal (all of a high nutritional value). In return we will offer your cat a free two month supply of a premium dry food and you a £5 Amazon voucher with our compliments.

If you think you can help please contact Dr. Franck Peron in the School of Life Sciences for an initial chat and further details of the project.
