In this week’s Times Higher Education, a four-page feature is dedicated to School of Life Sciences lecturer and forensic anthropologist Gillian Fowler’s experience of exhuming mass graves in Guatemala.

Within the feature Gillian talks about the six years she spent exhuming graves when she worked for the Guatemalan Forensic Anthropology Foundation. During this time she helped people find their family members who had been tragically taken from them during the atrocities in which swathes of the Mayan population were slaughtered.
